Pilates is a form of exercise, created by

Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body to support efficient, graceful movement.

The Pilates Method teaches body awareness in how to sit, stand, perform daily activities or participate in a sport.  By developing a strong trunk or core you become less injury-prone and less susceptible to the pitfalls of your profession, lifestyle or chosen form of exercise.

I have taught the Pilates Method to a wide range of people.  Athletes and dancers have been able to improve their performance. Seniors are aging gracefully, with strength, flexibility and balance, remaining strong and healthy well into their 80s. Students at various stages of post physical rehabilitation have continued to grow stronger. Children with special needs are able to develop coordinated bodies. 

In my beautiful, fully-equipped Pilates Studio, I teach the full repertoire of apparatus and mat work.

All the Pilates exercises can be modified to make a workout safe and challenging for a person at any level or age. Each session is designed to give you a full body workout.
